This is a trunk of a huge poplar tree in Milo. I think there's a woman in there. Can you see her? She's having a cup of joe.

Day 9 of 366

With the recent move from the big city to small town country life. I have been inspired to capture the beautiful prairie landscapes and the way the light dances upon them. I have a special love for grain elevators they are the “Heart of the prairies” Standing for almost a century these wooden elevators are the greatest single standing symbol of our Western Canadian heritage. With so few of them still standing it’s so very important we capture what remaining history we have left.

Day 4 of 366

I think this photo I am posting today would have to be one of my most interesting shots. It's very arty! If that's even a word!? This is lake Macgregor. Which is frozen right now. I took my camera and put it in a hole in the ice and got this shot. I like it so much that I think I will go back tomorrow and shoot some more!! Enjoy!

Day 3 of 366

I love to photograph the old homesteads along the country side. They are rural ghosts decaying back to the earth. It makes you wonder? The history behind them. When it was built? By whom? Why was it abandoned? What it's story?

Day 1 of 366 - New Years Day!

Alright here is my 1st source of inspiration for the New Year! This is my cat Jinx. He is a old man trapped in a cat’s body. He’s very vocal and full of personality. He expects to be greeted at the door and demands play time. I thought it would be “purrfect” to use Jinx as my first subject for this project. Some people may be superstitious but, I think a black cat can only bring you good luck!
Cheers to the New Year!
