Day 53 of 366

Silo's! I love the different sizes. It kind of reminds me of the Russian dolls that fit into each other.

Day 50 of 366

Came across this windmill called "The Aermotor." By far the most popular windmill of the 20th Century, the Chicago built self oiling Aermotor mills have been called the Cadillac of the windmills because of their outstanding design and quality of workmanship and it even spins to this day!

Day 49 of 366

I pass by these old clasped buildings all the time! I finally got around to shooting them before the wind takes them down forever!

Day 46 of 366

Here are some old elevators in De Winton. I just happen to catch a train at the elevator. Which adds extra candy to the shot.

Day 43 of 366

Today I was in for a treat! Shane and I got to go up to a friends ranch and take some photo's of her horses and donkey! This is DW (donkey) and Sunny. (horse) These two were my shadows. It was hard to get a shot of these two, when they kept nuzzling me and trying to get in my pockets for cookies!

This is DW looking for cookies and attention!

Day 42 of 366

I have to explain this shot! The original game plan was to take a picture of some still life (the camera stuff) in studio but, my pug Fergie had other plans. You see, we take pictures of her all the time. I have a pet photography studio and she models for our promos and commercial shots for posters, brochures etc. She loves being a model. (we pay her in liver treats)  So when I was shooting the still life she kept coming closer and closer until she decided that she should be in the shot too! She was so jealous that I wasn't photographing her! Our little model diva!

Day 41 of 366

Two is better than one! I doubled my impact by making a diptych (two photo's together) of the foilage. Super pretty!

Day 40 of 366

This is the old Glenmore Hospital in Calgary. It was built in 1894. Later it became an isolation hospital and then a seniors home. In 1973 it was demolished . Today it is generally referred to as Rundle Ruins, and it's a pretty popular place for wedding photos. I photographed my first wedding here and many other shoots.

Day 37 of 366

These barns have so much character! They look like old men with grumpy faces!

Day 36 of 366

Went on a road trip today! Here is one of my most favourite buildings to photograph. The skyscraper's of the countryside!

Saturday 4 February 2012

Day 35 of 366

This grain elevator is just over one hundred years old. I love the colour contrast!

Nothing is more beautiful than the sun setting on the prairies. A view from the Milo's new subdivision!
